Welcome to PDFNio. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.
2. Description of the Service
PDFNio provides web-based PDF tools (compress, merge, split, convert, edit, AI features, etc.). Some tools are free of charge and supported by advertising; certain features may require an account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Upload, store, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or violent.
- Process documents to which you do not have a lawful right.
- Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or authentication.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our written permission.
- Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Resell or commercialize the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the files and content you upload (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your User Content solely to deliver the requested tool result. We do not claim ownership of your files. Files are deleted automatically as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
6. Advertising
The Service may display advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. By using the Service, you understand that ads may appear on or near tool pages. You agree not to interfere with the loading or display of advertisements.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, its branding, design, logos, and original content are owned by PDFNio or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Except for User Content, all rights are reserved.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may include links or integrations with third-party services (e.g., Google sign-in, OpenRouter, advertising networks). We are not responsible for those services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PDFNIO, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFNio from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of PDFNio is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
